My name is Dave Shipsey and I am the author of the first book in English on Abdominal Acupuncture. My book called “Mastering the Art of Abdominal Acupuncture, a concise guide to treating numerous painful conditions” which has received great peer reviews and has been sold throughout the world. I have been teaching abdominal acupuncture around the world since 2011. Over a period of many years of teaching Abdominal Acupuncture the course has evolved and continues to evolve so that your learning experience is optimum for you. I am excited to be coming to Melbourne to teach with Sohial Farzam from NeedlePro Australia.
In 2009 he became an affiliated acupuncturist to the world-renowned Zita West fertility clinics.
Dave worked with the Finglas Addiction Support Team (FAST) for 14 years. Where he gained vast experience treating with substance abuse/addiction problems.
As a life long sufferer of asthma, I sought treatment through Buteyko Breathing. As a consequence of my asthma cure I decided to train as a Buteyko Breathing teacher. I am now a certified teacher and member of the Buteyko Breathing Association (BBA).
Course Description...
Abdominal Acupuncture (Fu Zhen) is the one of the greatest new modalities in acupuncture. It is also known as “Miracle therapy” because the results are (often) so much better than traditional acupuncture. It is particularly good for fertility issues, chronic, stubborn and painful conditions and a variety of internal Zang Fu conditions. Therapeutic effects are often, rapid (within minutes) and long lasting. Treatments with abdominal acupuncture are very gentle with minimal needle sensation and maximum therapeutic affect, most clients prefer abdominal acupuncture for these reasons. As a system it is easy to learn and to incorporate into your practice, once a number of abdominal nuances are understood.

At the end of the seminar, you can then begin to utilise Abdominal Acupuncture in your clinic.
By having some practical experience and a good grounding of how to use abdominal to treat clients, therefore you will be able to really get the maximum learning experience from the practical hands on live four day training.

What You Will Learn...
Learn all aspects of the subtleties of Abdominal Acupuncture, including how to palpate the abdomen to diagnose and to isolate ahshi points. You will learn all the nuances of this beautiful, gentle yet very powerful system of acupuncture. Learn how to incorporate your abdominal skills with other systems so that you will be able to treat all kinds of muscular skeletal problems including fibromyalgia (and other Bi syndromes).
Internal Zang Fu conditions, including, Asthma, allergies and respiratory problems, digestive conditions including Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Crohn’s Disease will be covered. You will also learn Navel acupuncture which is a micro system that works wonderfully on its own and in combination with Abdominal Acupuncture.

Dave Shipsey is a registered acupuncturist with over twenty years in practice he has an honours degree in Biological Science (B.Sc.).
An Author (“Mastering the Art of Abdominal Acupuncture, a concise guide to treating numerous painful conditions”) and an international teacher of Abdominal Acupuncture & Buteyko Breathing.
He has recently qualified as a Hypnotherapist and a Neuro – Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner.
He studied acupuncture full time at the University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Nanjing China.
Dave also completed 1 year of Clinical and medical acupuncture internships at some of the major city hospitals in Nanjing (PRC).
He worked with eminent doctors, gave great experience in various areas of health care, including; Women’s health and both Male & Female fertility issues, Stroke rehabilitation, Neurological conditions, Digestive health.
